Paragraph Structure

       The paragraph is an important element in an article. The structure of a typical paragraph is familiar to us, which consists of a topic sentence, supporting/developing sentences and a concluding sentence. In terms of the ways a paragraph is developed, there is "example", "time", "space", "cause and effect", "comparison and contrast", etc., which are learned in basic English writing. In this unit, through doing the following exercises, we will learn how to write a paragraph in a way which is quite commonly accepted in academic writing.
